The idea must be novel for it to be creative, because it shouldn't have too much of one preexisting idea. When a person is creative, they are able to come up with these original ideas easily. My definition of creativity has changed since the beginning of this class. During Genius Hour, I researched aircraft engines and designed alternative components to meet the requirements. You should be "thinking out of the box." This means that you think differently and deeper. My definition has slightly changed since the beginning of class. After doing this project, I didn't realize that you had to go that far out of the box to be creative, I just thought you needed to think a little bit out of the ordinary. As long as something you make is your idea, and it has not been done before, it is creative. The idea doesn't have to be "good", but as long as it's not someone else's idea, the idea is creative.
