1. He appeals to people by talking about their holy God and saying that they should fight like Lawrence and the other saints. He also says that all confessors will obtain remission for their sins. He continually plays with their emotions which causes them to believe what he is saying.
2. Modern day jobs that use this tactic are dog shelters, makeup companies, and drug commercials.

Q1A: I think his sermon was quite blunt as to what he believed would happen based upon our actions.
Q2A: He uses fear to trick people into doing what is right. Like do you not feel bad for what you have done? He appeals to the people by giving them their salvation. Or delivering them to it. He appeals to their emotions.
Q3A: The President

He appeals to people by telling them that they should give up their great treasures and let the people who die go to where ever God puts them instead of using money to change where they should go.

My impression is that I believe what he has said about that they shouldn't try to change what God has put people in the afterlife for eternity because they deserve where they were put because of what they have done in their life.

Some modern day jobs that use this is makeup companies, pharmacy companies and shelters.

1- He appeals to people by playing on their emotions. He also tries to get people to feel sympathy for their dead loved ones which is not right. He makes people think that their loved ones are currently being torched and they can give money to free them.

2- That dog shelter add that says donating ever so much money could save a dog from being killed. It plays on peoples emotions. Mostly little old lady with 30 cats. It isn't right yet people still do it.

Tetzel appeals to people by questioning their actions. Therefore making them question themselves. He then presents a solution to these thoughts. Prying on their vulnerability. Some modern day jobs which use these tactics are for instance the commercials of cancer patients and unwanted animals. Begging for the person viewing to help.

Tetzel appeals to people by making them feel a bit quilty about easily walking into a tavern but not wanting to visit their alters. Then he says that buying a pardon would be a solution to all that guilt to get into heaven. Modern commercials do this like beauty products, they say that with these products you're beautiful, ravishing, young-looking and it makes you feel that if you don't have those products maybe you don't look as beautiful as people with them.

1. Tetzel appeals to them by making the people selfish because they don't want to honor the one's that gave up their life so they could be there. They do what they want for their own amusment and don't care about anyone but themselves.
2. Too many to list.
