<title>The Gathering Storm - Samim Kohistani by Samim Kohistani</title>
      <link>https://padlet.com/kohistanis1634/sp4i5t5z7cdm</link>
<description>The Gag-rule was prevented consideration of an anti slavery proposal by John Quincy Adams, who was now a member of Congress.Knowing that the country would not agree on abolishing slavery altogether,Adams proposed a constitutional amendment saying that no on could be born in to slavery after 1845.
The Compromise Of 1850 was made in order to admit California into the Union as a free state. These agreements included allowing the new Mexico and Utah territories to decide whether to allow slavery, outlawing the slave trade in Washington,D.C.,and creating a stronger fugitive slave law.The Missouri Compromise of 1820 was an agreement made by Congress in 1820 under which Missouri was admitted to the Union as a slave and Maine was admitted as a free state.Presidential historian Doris Kearns Goodwin describes how past presidents, including Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, and Ronald Reagan, mastered the technology of their times to bring their message to the masses.
