1) What is sustainable growth?
rate of AD increase is matched by rate of increase in AS.
stable inflation
in long run whether there are unintended consequences
(rate of growth that can be maintained without encountering significant economic problems. 

2) Why should Singapore be concerned about achieving sustainable growth?
False dilemma. accepting more migrants or face a declining economy and QOL (Hobsons Choice)
SR: crowding out of public spaces
LR: 
Xenophobia: having too many foreign workers is unsafe. threat to society? social problems. Economic and political stability is threatened.


3) How can sustainable growth be achieved?

increasing productivity, shifting LRAS. 
cheap labour, population growth is currently used to achieve growth, but it is not sustainable.
instead we should use more sustainable methods of growth like education and upgrading. 

Foreign workers are necessary for growth. But instead of focusing on quantity, we can also concentrate on quality. How do we make foreign workers more productive?

- Poor/ marginalised groups might induce higher crime rates (non-material implications) 
- Productivity concerns (for long run)

3) How can inclusive growth be achieved?
- Fiscal redistribution 
- Increase productivity by the poor/old/unskilled (skills upgrading)
