         <description><![CDATA[<div>The term ‘Digital World’ is used to denote the importance and prevalence of digital technologies in today’s society. It communicates just how interconnected and reliant the real world is on digital devices and programs, and establishes a context for related terms such as ‘digital citizenship’, digital natives’ and, importantly for education, ‘digital pedagogies’. </div>]]></description>
