I felt very excited and proud of her! She has a very beautiful Chinese "诗婉" which means gentle and intelligent personality.

She is easy-going so that I love talking with her, however, because of disgusting 11 hours time difference, I cannot have a conversation with her at any time. But we have promised to have a voice call or video call when we are both convenient. In order to better feelings of conversation, I recommended WeChat app to her.

Just now, we found that we have similar tastes. We both like sour taste and hate sweet fruits.

This was a wonderful making friends experience, and I am sure we will have more stories in the future. I very very like my new Peruvian friend-Varyn.

This week, we listened to a lecture in class, which was about United Nations. After group discussion, I summarized related information and our points.
From the lecture, I learned that UN was established in order to promote world peace on 24th October 1945 after the second world war so that replace League of Nations. At the beginning of UN, there was just 41 members, but now almost each country joined it.
The most interesting thing what I thought is although almost all of the countries have participated in UN, there are only just 5 permanent countries including China, America, the UK, Russia and France.
After our group discussion, we all approved that the most positive things about the UN is UN security council, which contributes to keep world peace strongly and directly from legal and military perspective. As for geography, it covers the globe. However, the negative aspect is that UN doesn't still have enough power to limit SUPER country-America when it destroys the world order and other disgusting behaviors.

The name of the book that this report describes is The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. This story takes place in New York City in the summer of 1922. This time period is often referred to as “The Roaring Twenties,” which was the good time in the United States before the crash of the stock market in 1929.

The story begins with the move of Nick Carraway from the Midwest to West Egg in the district of Long Island, New York during the summer of 1922. Nick’s point of view is used for the duration of the story, as he is the main character. West Egg is described as a very wealthy area full of people who made lots of money very quickly and love to show it off. These people also haven’t been rich long enough to make any social connections, unlike Nick, who has connections in East Egg, where the more settled rich live. Nick is also not as upscale as his neighbors in West Egg.

Making mistakes in a speaking assessment is expected. If you correct your mistakes while speaking, this is considered a skill! Do not be afraid to make mistakes. Your last mistake is your best teacher.

Well done!

Regards,
Assessor

There are differences between academic and school presentation. We should do research and cite reference when show an academic presentation. Reference is aimed to support my arguments. We have 3 ways to cite references. Each section of our presentation should be organised clearly. In order to achieve this, we can use signposting which is phrases that give direction to where your presentation is going. As for language, we had better not just read a script because it's very dull and boring, at the same time, we will be given a low grade. What we will do is to make a presentation neither too emotional nor boring. During the presentation, we had better use body language, eye contact, good posture, facial expressions, and appropriate gestures as much as possible in order to interact with audiences. Finally, ppt is a tool to help us show points more visually. There is no need to make it too fancy.
