         <description><![CDATA[<div>The one thing that stood out the most to our group was that small actions can drastically change someone's life. If there is any opportunity to do something kind, whether for yourself or others, always take that chance. He had only seen it one, but continued to practice, even without the cards. It was the first thing he looked forward to, the first thing that brought him joy in a gore surrounded death camp. <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>One thing that stood out to our group the most was the effect that the card trick had on that man's life, and that he practiced it every day despite not having all the things he needed to preform it properly. It brought him joy and excitement as well as entertainment during this horrible time, and once he was liberated form the camps the magic tricks served as a reminder to find joy in a sometimes joyless place.</div>]]></description>

Another thing could be in the beginning, where a veteran Jew tells Elie and his father to lie about their ages. When Elie was beaten by the Kapo, a French girl wipes the blood off of his lip, and when Elie lied to the rabbi about the fate of the rabbi's son in order to avoid the pain it may cause. Lastly, the Polish guard showed an act of kindness in <br>saying "Hell doesn't last forever", it gave them hope that this would all end</div><div><br></div>]]></description>
