Not only does it take away the freedom of choice, but people's brains do not all develop at the same speed. Although a system may work for most people, it does not work for everyone. For example, at school, the curriculum is meant for an average intellegance, but some kids may not be able to achieve it, and some may overachieve. Children are typically creative people who like to experiment and have a hard time following rules. Forcing children to fit a certain standard creates unrealistic expectations and can lead to serious problems for children and causes people to believe they are unable to do something because they cannot do things at the same speed as everyone else.
