With the olympics not allowing spectators how do you think the athletes might feel? Relate this to an experience you have had eg school cross country. by Alicia Wilson

I think the athletes would feel quite sad as they have trained so long for this and they will have no one there to celebrate with them. I think athletes would get more motivation from hearing the crowd cheer for them so not having the crowd would be hard.

This reminds me of myself when i played basketball. I always played much better when my parents were watching because they motivated me and cheered me on. The games when they were not there I did not play as well.

I think they would feel a little bit sad because their friends and family can only watch them on TV, also when competing their is no crowd to cheer them on and give them extra motivation, also it must feel very awkward and strange to look around you and see hundreds of seats empty. it would be hard on the competitors not to see family face to face for along time and them not being able to have as much support from their family, friends and fans. over all I think they would feel sad and a little bit disappointed but happy that they can compete in such a big event.

It reminds me of cross country because when you have friends and family their they support you and make you feel better about the whole thing this is a big help especially when you are very nervous

I think that I would feel like this was no longer much of an important activity anymore because there is no one watching and no one cheering you one.

The time this reminds me of is when the school goes to swimming in town. Because with all those people cheering for me and watching I feel much more motivated to try harder adn that let's me go further

i think they would feel disappointed because the cant hear the people in the crowd chairing them on so they might feel a bit more less motivated

it reminds me of when i used to play freeze tag at my old school and we would chear our friends on and hop they would win but sometimes your friends would be against you and you would have anyone chearing you on and you dont do as well
