A way to address cultural diversity is through a culturally inclusive curriculum, which I believe the school does a great job of. The student percentages incldes various ethnicities. Since it is so diverse teachers must be able to understand and celebrate each student's cultural background. This helps create a learning environment where every student feels included and connected to the material.Since 52.5% of students speak English at home the school should continue to include ELL programs and bilingual educators to assist students in improving their english. It will help students to connect to the content and make it more comprehensive.

The economic background and average household income shows that 43% of students receive free or reduced lunches. This suggests that some students come from lower-income households. This shows that the school needs to offer after school programs and other activities to ensure that these students have the tools to succeed. Some families might face barriers like lack of access to Wi-Fi, technology, or school supplies like pencils and notebooks. For students who don’t have these resources at home, the school should provide accommodations.

Sources:

https://www.jcgcs.org/pdf/school_performance_report//Access%20Previous%20School%20Performance%20Reports/School%20Performance%20Detailed%20Report%202017-2018.pdf

https://rc.doe.state.nj.us/2022-2023/school/detail/80/6093/981/demographics?lang=EN

https://www.niche.com/k12/jersey-city-global-charter-school-jersey-city-nj/

https://www.greatschools.org/new-jersey/jersey-city/8778-Jersey-City-Global-Charter-School/
