all over the world. It's always useful to know information about your 

students' interests and backgrounds. So if you have a student coming 

from a different country or culture, you can use your PLN to access some

information from someone in the student's home country in order to 

better accommodate him.

So when I'm alone after school or during a lunch break marking papers or

something, I can have fun on my PLN. I'm a Mathematics major, so if my PLN

is on Twitter, I can follow some other Math teachers or associations. So I can

talk to people who have the same interests or profession as me and we can

share experiences from the classroom or strategies for teaching.

can learn about websites related to their subject area that have fun activities

for students. More experienced teachers can share their strategies and give

really good advice to those that are just starting out.

I'm really interested in the way other people think and teach. Also, some

teachers (without meaning to) may be prejudice towards different cultures, 

so it would be beneficial to learn more about them. PLNs can help people learn

about the world.
