MANNERS IN SEEKING KNOWLEDGE

Intention. One must have a pure intention, which is want to seek knowledge because of Allah.

Respect. For example, doesn't talking in the class while the lecturer are teaching.

respect for the knowledge itself in which doesn't leave the book anywhere or put the book at the low position.

Humility. We should not be arrogant to our lecturer even if we already know the topic that they are teaching.

Istiqamah. One must have strong consistency in their journey of seeking knowledge, by doing exercises about the subject regularly.

Seeking Truth. While seeking for knowledge, we should refer to someone who is master in that field and subject. We must ensure that the person is not just anybody but they have the deep understanding of the topic and doesn't contradict from Islam.

ADAB WITH AL-QURAN

Must have ablution to hold and touch the al-quran without the translation.

Place the al-quran at high places such as the highest row of book shelf.

Muslim should not stack the al-quran with other books or things, because al-quran is the holy book.

Muslim should reflect and contemplate the content of the al-quran while reciting it, and try to improve itself.

We should listen to the recitation of the al-quran with full attention because it is a words from Allah to us.

To conclude, we should apply all of these manners in our daily life, so that the knowledge we gain is blessed by Allah.

Reflection on This Usrah

From this usrah, I realized that knowledge isn't just about gathering facts, but also about having the right attitude. Seeking knowledge with sincerity and humility makes it more meaningful and beneficial. I also learned that the Qur'an isn't just for reading; it's a guide that should be reflected upon and followed in daily life.

For the next usrah, I hope to deepen my understanding of how to apply Islamic teachings practically. I also look forward to more discussions that help me improve my faith and character.

PILLARS OF IMAN ( 1 )

Belief in Allah (Tauhid)

Tauhid means the Oneness of Allah in His Lordship, Names, and Worship. It is divided into three :

Tauhid Rububiyyah - believing that Allah alone is the Creator, Sustainer, and Controller of everything.

Tauhid Uluhiyyah - worshipping only Allah without associating partners with Him.

Tauhid Asma' wa Sifat - believing in Allah's names and attributes as mentioned in the Qur'an and Sunnah, without distortion or comparison.

Belief in Angels

Angels are created from light and have no free will—they obey Allah completely. Each angel has specific duties, such as:

•Jibril (Gabriel) – Delivers revelations to prophets.

•Mikail (Michael) – Controls rain and sustenance.

•Israfil – Blows the trumpet on the Day of Judgment.

•Malik & Ridwan – Guardians of Hell and Paradise.

•Munkar & Nakir – Question the dead in the grave.

Belief in the Books

Allah revealed divine books as guidance for humankind. The four main books are:

•Tawrah – Given to Prophet Musa (Moses).

•Zabur – Given to Prophet Dawud (David).

•Injil – Given to Prophet Isa (Jesus).

•Al-Qur'an – Given to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and it is the final and preserved guidance for all humanity.

Reflection on This Usrah

This usrah helped me understand That Iman is not just about believing but also about acting upon it. Tauhid reminds me that everything I do should be for Allah alone, while learning about angels makes me more aware that unseen beings are recording my actions. The discussion on divine books strengthened my appreciation for the Qur'an as the most reliable guide in life.

For the next usrah, I hope to learn about the remaining three pillars of Iman and how they shape a Muslim's worldview.

This usrah focused on the last three pillars of Iman, which emphasize belief in Allah’s divine plan and the afterlife.

A. Belief in the Messengers and the Prophets

•Prophets and messengers were sent by Allah to guide humanity.

•Prophets (Nabi) receive revelation but do not necessarily have a new law (shari'ah).

•Messengers (Rasul) are prophets given a new law to spread.

•There are 25 prophets mentioned in the Qur’an, with Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as the final messenger.

B. Belief in the Resurrection Day

📖 Surah Al-Qiyamah (75:1-4):

"I swear by the Day of Resurrection. And I swear by the self-reproaching soul. Does man think that We will not assemble his bones? Yes! We are able to proportion his fingertips."

Signs of the Resurrection Day:

—Minor signs: Increase in dishonesty, loss of trust, widespread immorality, time passed by so fast, the population of women are more than men, A lot of earthquake.

—Major signs: Appearance of Dajjal, descent of Prophet Isa (AS), sun rising from the west, appearance of ya'juj ma'juj & dabbah.

Stages of Resurrection Day:

1. Destruction of the universe – The trumpet is blown.

2. Resurrection – Everyone is raised from their graves.

3. Gathering (Mahsyar) – All people stand before Allah.

4. Judgment (Hisab) – Deeds are weighed, and people receive their records.

5. Crossing the Sirat – A bridge leading to either Paradise or Hell.

C. Belief in Qada’ wa Qadar

What is Qada’?

•Allah’s divine decree, which includes His knowledge of everything before it happens.

What is Qadar?

•The execution of Allah’s divine will in our lives, meaning everything happens by His permission.

|| We must believe in Qada' and Qadar as it strengthens trust in Allah and reduces anxiety, as well as teaches patience during hardships and gratitude during ease. Not only that, it reminds us that while we have free will, Allah’s plan is always the best.

Reflection on This Usrah

This usrah deepened my understanding of life's purpose.

Learning about the prophets reminded me of their struggles and sacrifices, which inspire me to stay steadfast in faith. The discussion on Qiyamah made me reflect on how temporary this world is, and the concept of Qada wa Qadar reassured me that everything happens for a reason.

For the next usrah, I hope to explore how to apply these beliefs in everyday life, especially in facing challenges with strong Iman.

I just wanted to say that, with the existence of this usrah, it really helps me in reflecting on myself, learnt new knowledge as well as make new friends. This usrah has opened my eyes to improve myself to be a better muslim and creation from the very first week until the last week of topics and contents that were explained by my wonderful facilitator. Other than that, I become more grateful to be born in this religion, Islam, and appreciate every single rizq and bounty that Allah has given to me. Lastly, I hope that I can implement all of the knowledge that I have gained here in my daily life <3

However, I would like to improve one area of myself, which is my interaction in usrah . If I were given a chance, I would like to be more active in participating in the discussion during usrah. Besides that, I would also like to know my usrahmates better and deeper, as I didn't get a chance to have a long conversation with them. Last but not least, I hope that in the future my usrah session will be more fun and interactive as I actively engage with the discussion.
