Opioid addiction is a problem the world faces each day. This mobile application helps to fight opioid addiction. It appears to be user friendly with an inviting interface allowing participants to customize their own character. Users stay hooked with features such as games and surveys to aid in their addiction recovery. Application participants are rewarded with points which turn into currency as they complete their goals, while maintaining an opioid free lifestyle. While utilizing the application, family and friends can receive progress updates. These updates allow family and friends to encourage further progress, therefore decreasing the rate of relapse.

Finding tools to fight opioid addiction is important. Opioid addiction is prevalent and affecting our nation. Focusing just on the United States, in the year 2015 it was reported that "2.0 million had a DSM-IV substance use disorder (abuse or dependence) diagnosis on opioids" (Strain, 2017). This statistic alone shows the necessity of finding various methods to assist those struggling with opioid addiction. This application allows for recovering addicts to participate in games and surveys for a reward. Accomplishing short-term and long-term goals for rewards keeps the user engaged. This technology can help to "achieve high levels of patient engagement leading to better clinical outcomes" (Batista, 2018). I believe that, as a nation, we need to provide patient centered care. This includes assessing the patient to provide the best treatment model in order to achieve better results. For technology savvy patients, this model will be the best way to treat their addiction.
