This was project was to chose something you use or come in contact with every day. I drink a bottle of coke almost every day or few days since it's my favorite soda. This was also my first time painting with oil and  a painting this big. Textured flower bowl: For this piece I laid one slab over a bowl shaped object, cut the bowl out, let it dry over night and came back while it was still semi-wet and placed a rubber stamp I made into the clay. I took the stamp off, fired it and glazed it with three different earth tone glazes. I created this piece during my painting class while we learned about how to draw three dimensional objects. It was my first time using charcoal and was a challenge learning how to manipulate and maneuver around the way charcoal reacts with the slightest bit of pressure from your fingers for with the blending tool. I learned charcoal is something you work outside in from and not the other way around. I have loved taking ceramics from. the start of my journey in middle school. I noticed while in the process of figuring out of to make these, that I rarely created any organic figures. I laid a slab cut random shapes out and then laid that slab into my hand.
