 Ex. Elie Wiesel is interested in studying the Kabbalah with Moshe the Beadle, but study is interrupted when Moshe is deported as a foreign Jew.  Moshe escapes death to return to Sighet to tell the Jews of their imminent fates.  However, no one believes him. Eventually, events go as Moshe warned, and Jews are moved to ghettos, housed in the synagogue, and then are transported to camps in cattle cars.
