CONTRASTS AND CONTRADICTION WITH THE BULLY BOOK!

Chapter 21
Page 104 & 105
Evidence:
"This must have been where Daniel grabbed the paintball gun during our previous chase. It looked like it was set up for war. "Welcome to my fortress." Daniel said to me in the dim light of an oil lamp. The flame threw shadows of paintball guns and ammunition crates against the walls. "I make sure to prepare for anything now."
Claim and Reasoning:
I know this is a contract and contradiction because it's pretty out of the ordinary for an 11 year old boy to have a armed tree house with a paint ball gun.
Answer To The Anchor Question:
The actor acted this way because he was trying to protect himself.
Literary element:
I think this is internal conflict because he is so insecure and scared what will happen to him he has to protect him self with paintball guns even though he doesn't like using guns.

Chapter 46
Page 224
Evidence:
When Eric said "I found out what the grunt is."
Claim and Reasoning:
I know that this is a aha moment because he finally found out something he's wanted to known for a very long time.
Answer to Anchor Question:
This may effect Eric moving on in life because now he can protect himself from being the Grunt moving on
Literary Element:
i think this a character development because when he finally learned what the grunt was , instead of wanting to change himself to not be the grunt anymore and wanted to be the best, he wanted to learn how to just leave the book behind because by the end he just wanted all the drama and hate to come to the end.

The long limp blond hair was gone, hair that people always told him would look nice if he was a girl was buzzed short. The braces had disappeared."
Claim & Reasoning:
I know this is a memory moment because Eric is explaining how he remembered Donovan the last time he saw him.
Answer to Anchor Question:
This memory is important to Eric because he can remember him how he used to be before he became a bully.
Literary Element:
I think this is a character development because it shows how Donovan changed or "developed" over the summer.
