I worry that locals are going to lose out on job opportunities. When we allow professionals from other countries to work in sg, local graduates have a lesser widespread of jobs to choose from. Therefore they're going to have to start at a lower job rank than they are qualified for.

Also, foerigner influence might take over the Singaporean culture and drive us into the delusion that we also belong to another culture. Our culture might become so diverse that it might loose its roots.

There is also more competition for local students to get into good schools foriegners get here through scholarships and school normally prefer them over singaporeans.

I feel that it is a common occurance for foreign workers to get discriminated by local workers in a workplace. I am worried that they are not able to adjust to the adversely different lifestyles in the foreign countries and may fall victim to the hardships that come with the language barrier

Geographically, Singapore does not offer much. Being able to have those cultural experiences that include new structures and new traditions, we would have new experiences and not just stay stale for the rest of our lives. When we visit other countries, it covers the disadvantage that there is not much sightseeing in Singapore, hence, conferring us more enlightenment that staying in one place. That's why it's so exciting to me to have new cultural experiences.

As for rising job competition i think when we get more foreign workers mre MNCs would be inclined to come to singapore as we can offer thm with labour. this also means that there would be more job opportunities so the locals can also get jobs and the ratio of singaporeans to job opportunities will stay constant as both the mean number of jobs and mean number of workers will increase.

furtheremore as for cultural dilution, i think we can celebrate each other's cultures and festivals together as one. this will make sure that we can clebrate our one culture while being mindful of othr people.
