DiGiCo are currently seeking a young person to join them as a Graduate Apprentice in Engineering, Design and Manufacturing.

The role is based in Glenrothes with a starting salary of £25,000.

DiGiCo are offering this exciting opportunity to join their team and provide support to the production team and R&D teams for New Product Introduction.

The successful candidate will also spend one day per week studying towards their honours degree in Engineering, Design and Manufacturing at the University of Dundee.

“London was a trip of a lifetime.  On the first day we were lucky enough to see ‘Wicked’ in the West End and it was such a fantastic experience with incredible singers and actors.  The next day we visited the UK Parliament which had great architecture.  The iconic Big Ben tower stood tall as we walked around the parliament, the historic interior was amazing.  We also went on the London Eye which has stunning views of London’s skyline.  On the third day we explored the Imperial War Museum which was both educational and moving.  We also went to Covent Garden which was filled with amazing food restaurants and high-end fashion retailers.  The day ended with an eerie Jack the Ripper Walking tour and a boat ride home along the Thames. On the last day we went to Camden Market which was buzzing with people and had great food places.  We had quite a few trips on the Tube while we were in London  and it was certainly an experience!  Every moment of this trip was filled with excitement and new experiences that I am sure everyone will cherish forever.” – Megan, Carla, Lauren & Aisha (S5)

As we reach the end of another successful school year, I’d like to take this opportunity to wish all of our learners, families, and staff a very happy and restful summer break.

This term has been filled with celebrations of achievement and moments of real pride across our school community. From the many awards ceremonies recognising the outstanding effort, resilience, and talent of our young people, to the fantastic Summer Concert where learners once again amazed us with their creativity and confidence, there has been so much to reflect on and applaud. We also marked the end of an era for the Class of 2025 – a group of young people who have contributed so much to school life and whom we send off with our very best wishes for the future.

At the same time, we’ve welcomed our newest cohort of S1 learners during our transition events, and the energy and enthusiasm they’ve brought has been inspiring. The change of timetable has allowed everyone to start looking ahead, and we’ve already seen our learners engaging positively with new classes and fresh challenges.

Throughout this session, we’ve also been focused on listening, learning, and improving. Following our recent Collaborative Improvement Visit, we’ve been gathering feedback from across our school community to help shape our next steps. A key priority for next session will be a renewed focus on Learning and Teaching, and we’re grateful to all staff, pupils and families who have contributed to the consultation around our revised learning and teaching framework. Your insights are directly influencing the future direction of our school.

Finally, I’d like to thank everyone who supported our new Study Days this year and those who helped make the exam season as smooth and positive as possible for our senior learners. Whether learners have been preparing for assessments or adapting to new routines, their effort and attitude have been hugely commendable.

Enjoy the holidays – relax, unwind, make some memories with friends and family – and we look forward to welcoming all our learners back to school in August for another successful session.
