I agree that students need more time in school to work on their mental health and give them time for their minds to relax because mental health is becoming a major issue with teens and it is becoming necessary for schools to stop trying to overwork students and allow them to relax so that they can work on themselves or get help from others. -Brendon Scher

I think that students need to more time to really focus on themselves and their happiness. I think school sometimes "drowns" a student and that students just needs to breath and take some time from school. School can be overrated sometimes and students sometimes don't see that, and I think when some time to relax can help their metal health. - Olivia

I believe that there ought to be a balance within the school systems between mental health as well as physical health. The reason as to why there ought to be a balance is because of the increase in obesity that has been taking place with all the snacks/unhealthy meals that has grown over time. If physical health is focused in school systems, then the obesity rate would perhaps decrease which would help kids grow healthier. I also believe that schools should also balance their systems with mental health though should be aware in which they display their focus on such an issue. Teachings tend to be biased because of the way in which the teacher was informed of a topic. I believe that they ought to be careful even in the words in which they use as well as the textbook in which they expect children to rely their sources on as textbooks or any other "official" can also be biased or can be more lenient to one side of the issue. Also, I do understand how they try to "prepare" us for the outside world, though you can't quite prepare any person for their future for nobody is aware of what someone would do when they get older. Therefore, they should simply be a bit lenient on the assignments in which we receive and the time in which it is due. Many people are not able to work under such "pressure" that is applied with them especially considering that many of us aren't aware of the things in which people do outside of school(whether they have to help their family, or anything like this; not everyone would confess this due to the shame/embarrassment that they would have in doing so). Also, not many of us would have the same amount of responsibilities that the upcoming generation or the past generation has/had. -Jarvis
