So far we have had many school shootings just this past month than other continents in the world and we just sat there saying our thoughts and prayers without even doing anything. The students, and staff members that were  involved had a future and it was all destroyed. So my main question is, what are we going to change about the school shootings instead of saying unuseful prayers that won't save lives? My thought on school shootings is that it's a very serious thing. It may cause fights and arguments but doing that will just help at nothing. To my knowledge, 17 people were shot by the gun owner and an adult. I've even seen a post that stated a STUDENT got shot 5 times trying to hold down the door of a classroom he/she tried to protect. No child or person should go through that type of pain. Then another article showed that the government is feeling sorry for the gun owner saying he is a "broken child" and that he "apologised". He shouldn't be treated like a child and just leave with a slap on the wrist and get expelled. He took 17+ lives with a gun. Those victims were too young to die at that age. I also heard that the students that were in the shooting were making a stand and protesting about gun safety and how the government didn't do anything. I would like to know why is there more gun shootings this past MONTH when other states only had like 9 for many many years. I want to know why the government is not paying attention to gun safety and shootings. For example in Asia, you have to go through this test and exam and all these paperwork until you can be trusted to hold a gun and they have zero problems with school shootings. I need to also know what was happening inside the school. Like how was people treating others and how was the staff and teachers doing. I want to be able to believe that every student in every school should go and learn without having to worry about their lives being taken away but noooo we would rather send "thoughts and prayers" instead of doing something. All I know is that it is sick. And right now people are voting to have guns in every classroom or not. people are saying that it is the guns fault but it is not it is the person behind the gun. Something the government should AT- LEAST do is make it WAY harder for people to get guns even though they have some kind of permit or something because you'll never know when they're  going to turn their backs on you.
I heard that Trump "suggested" that teachers should be armed so it could prevent school shootings.
