Since we have practicum after lecture, I liked that we got to practice what we learned in lecture.
#2: Practicum helped to engage my learning.
#3: The group presentations that we write on paper do not really engage my learning. For me, it just feels like we could be using that time maybe answering questions or going deeper into lecture.
#4: I still have questions about how to study for the lecture comprehensive final since what we practice in practicum seems like a lot less material than what is covered in the slides.

#1. I prefer lecture activities more than traditional lecture because watching the lecture videos before class covers the same material, but usually in more depth.
#2. Group quizzes really help me engage my learning! Andthe lab time as well.
#3. The lecture activities we did this week were not very helpful for me. I had a harder time paying attention to my classmates presenting because I was concerned about what my group was going to present. I left feeling like I knew a lot about my group's topic and not very much about any of the other topics.
I think it might be better to have a time for questions on the lecture videos towards the beginning of class and then maybe have us work on case studies that relate to the lecture material that week instead.
#4. I have questions about the lecture final. The quizzes for this class are pretty challenging, so I'm assuming the final is going to be pretty rigorous as well. I just want to know what I should focus my studying on.

#1 - I prefer the traditional lectures. I do feel that I was able to learn more about our specific topic during the lecture activities but not so much from the other groups. I don't feel that we had enough time to prepare for the lecture activity and was preoccupied about presenting instead.
#2 - The traditional lecture and recorded Sakai video helps engage my learning. I think we just need to be more motivated to watch the videos ahead of time. Maybe we could have our in class quizzes based what is covered on the Sakai videos first then we can go over/review our topic and go over any questions we may still have as a class. The quiz can be more simplified compared to our current quizzes and this can gauge what information needs more explaining in class.
3 - The lecture activities did not engage my learning.
4 - I continue to have questions about the final and how to better prepare for it.

So may be their way of learning it is easier than my own.
3.

1. I prefer traditional lectures because every topic is well-addressed. I get a lot from the particular topics I receive for the lecture activities, but I feel as if the subjects introduced by my classmates are just glossed over. Not that they're necessarily lacking information, but the time spent explaining their topics is limited compared to that of a lecture.
2. Group activities are helpful aides because they allow me insight into others' thought processes (but, as they are now, they end up taking a lot of time and I end up really knowledgeable in just one area).
3. The longer that group activities run, the less engaged I become. I think short, focused bursts of group discussion may be best for collaborative learning. Maybe a curveball can be thrown into the current format by rotating groups around different topics?
4. I don't think I have any questions.
