         <description><![CDATA[<div> <br><br></div><div>1) Work out a plan of your work: divide the topic into smaller issues and range them from the most important to the least important for the project. It might be useful to create a separate post for every aspect.</div><div>2) After choosing the most relevant aspects, assign one aspect to every participant of the project, then share the results of your investigation. </div><div>3) Where possible, study country-specific information, so that eventually you could compare the data concerning Finland and Russia.</div><div>4) Make sure to add useful links for the rest of your group to see and comment on them.</div><div>5) Determine the timescale for each part of the project.</div><div>6)  The joint project might require communication outside the padlet, for example, via Skype.</div><div>7) By the end of November the participants are supposed to create a joint “product” reflecting the results of their work, a 20-minute video, where the participants will share the results of their work.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>Wave energy</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Only after the first large-scale oil crisis of the seventies of the last century. Today in the coastal waters of Japan you can see lighthouses and T-shirts. In India, the port lighthouse of Madras is powered by wave energy. Since 1985, Norway has operated the world's first industrial wave power plant with a capacity of 850 kW. Several tidal power plants are successfully operating in Russia. In 2002, an experimental wave power station was commissioned in Portugal, which generates 6-10 million kWh of electricity per year when exposed to waves up to 5 meters high. Meanwhile, if you need to provide electricity to a small cottage village, a boarding house or a separate beach house.<br><br>Independent power consumption of small power, which converts the energy of the wave into electricity. To get more power, you can simply increase the number of modules.<br><br>It was such an original power plant, which was developed by a group of Russian wave energy enthusiasts. A single module is a reinforced stand, in which a two-arm lever is fixed. On the other hand, it is connected to a piston water pump. Oscillation of the float causes the movement of a piston pump, which pumps water into the water tower, drive; a hydrogenerator that generates an electric current directed at consumers.<br><br>Electricity is currently being generated. Electricity is generated on the dryer, which also greatly facilitates its installation and operation. One module consists of several parts that are easy to manufacture from non-deficient materials. The assembly and installation technology of the module is well known and does not require additional tests. Obviously, the cost of manufacturing and installing such a wave power plant will be significantly lower than the cost of the existing "monsters" of wave energy. According to preliminary calculations, the optimal power of one energy module will be about 10 kW at a price of 25%. The power system design provides for original storm protection.<br><br>A wave power plant can operate not only in coastal waters, but also in rivers. Suitable for use in the ocean.<br><br>The developers received a Russian patent. A demonstration scheme of the installation has already been created, which invariably attracts the attention of visitors to alternative energy. An experimental model of the installation is being conducted, which should be tested in real conditions. After testing and development of working documentation, industrial production of plants will begin.</div>]]></description>
