After a long lasting eight years of fighting, The Treaty of Paris draws the Revolutionary war to an end. The Treaty of Paris grants the United States with their independence from Britain. Treaty of Paris was a list of six conditions that Britain and America were instructed to follow after the war. Although the Treaty of Paris resolved a major issue but also left some things unsolved. For example, America did not repay their prewar debt and Britain did not return enslaved prisoners. Even though each of these were two of the conditions laid out in the Treaty of Paris, each country ignored them. The Treaty of Paris declared boundaries for the U.S. and also addressed what rightfully belonged to the Americans and the British.

A loyalists perspective:

Hi my name is Joanne. I formerly lived in America as a loyalist until patriots violently drove me away from my home. The Treaty of Paris only lightly suggested that my property be returned to me. The patriots were in no way forced or persuaded to return the land. As a result, many of them never returned what was rightfully mine. I believe the Treaty of Paris was in effective in the fact that the conditions were lightly implied and rarely followed. The conditions did not make a strong change in this certain situation. My friend Laura, who is also a Loyalist, said, "...some have to lament over the wreck of their departed wealth and estates." Laura also agreed that we now had to worry about the property that was once ours but stolen way and the Treaty of Paris did not resolve this problem.

Hello my name is Robert. I am a Patriot living in America. I believe the Treaty of Paris was a beneficial document. The Treaty of Paris suggested that if we had taken land or any property from the Loyalists, we may give it back to them. This was a good thing because we are in no way being forced to return things to traitors who didn't support the Independence of our states. Also, we still were not breaking any laws by keeping the land to our self's. In addition, the Treaty of Paris granted us with independence from Britain, which was what we were fighting for. The Treaty of Paris was in no way a bad thing, it was a good thing. My cousin Tom fought in the Revolutionary war and told me that," the hard work and dedication we devoted to our Independence has finally paid off. The Treaty of Paris will grant us with what's rightfully ours." For those reasons, I am forever great full the Treaty of Paris was written.
