The polar bear live on sea ice, so they have bumps on the bottom of their feet that help grip the ice as they are walking and sharp claws on their feet that helps to give them traction on the ice so that they do not slip on the ice. They also have thick fur on their feet and body to help lose heat slower as they are walking on the ice. Polar bears also have white fur so that they are not easily visible in the snowy white background so that they will not be killed by predators. Its paws are also wide and large, which helps it to swim well to catch its prey and escape from predators as well as walk with ease in the snow.
