She lived in a small suburb right outside of Pittsburgh called Murrysville. She has one older brother and one younger sister. Gita got married at age 27 and her and her husband settled down in Philadelphia. She worked as a child psychiatrist in the local children's hospital. After a few years, Gita and her husband started their family and had two kids.
