Playing, having opportunities to discuss, trial and error. Asking questions that help them to reflect. Modeling behaviour. Forming relationships with the teacher and other children.

What are the conditions for learning? 

open spaces, welcoming, flexible, lots of choice, set up for provocations, indoor and outdoor space. Set up for independence to encourage self-management. Make space for collaboration.  Moving into different groups to encourage that collaboration.


What changes could be made to the diagram of an early learner?

Make sure the child is the centre. reminder of the agency of the child. Play should be the full circle with sub categories. 

Is learning a consequence of thinking?
