There are five major garbage patches, North pacific being the largest one. It is said to be three times the size of France.

Two surfers created the Sean Bin to collect debris in the waters. The sea bin is made for marinas or areas that are collecting garbage. The garbage gets sucked in then into the bag where the water is pumped back out and the debris stays inside.

Although we are looking towards the future with our new innovations to prevent and cleanup all the trash, it will take about twenty years to clean up 90% of the garbage. We can continue to make new innovations that can cleanup the waters but if people do not decide to make a change then the problem will only continue to go on.

A Ocean Cleanup project departed on september 8th 2018, it is named Wilson. While monitoring Wilson they noticed the shape wasn't the best for collecting the debris so they are changing the shape. If this project continues to grow if can achieve greatness and change our future for generations to come and for the marine life currently here.
