The commons at sugarhouse is a popular, tight-knit community where everyone seems to know each other. From my experience, people walking around the area are all very friendly and excited to chat with you! Most of the people that I met live near the area and often participate in one of the exercise studios such as the yoga and cycle studio. Also, many often like to visit all of the food/treat shops and wander around the book stores for fun. When looking at this area with a new perspective, I was amazed at how many good assets of this neighborhood that I noticed! Here, you will never get bored as there are so many things to see and do! Also, there are so many people walking rather than driving so you will never feel lonely strolling around the stores.

From my last visit, the bookstore had some remodeling done! When walking inside, I saw how nice everything looked. In addition, the baristas in the cafe were so friendly and the cafe chairs were filled with people drinking coffee, reading, and doing work on their computers. This place is an amazing go-to hang out spot if you wanna get work done and socialize at the same time. It really had the best vibes in there and is one of the biggest Barnes and Noble stores I’ve ever seen. If I lived in this neighborhood, I would come here every morning to do my work and make friends with the baristas and other regulars.

I took this picture to represent all of the fun restaurants that this place has to offer! They are right next to the apartments and include everything from Buffalo Wild Wings, Cold Stone, Ramen Legend, Taste of Thai, and more! There’s so many different places to try that you would never get sick of your options or feel like you have to drive a long way for good food! Also, one of my favorite experiences was meeting the Parfait Diem owner. Parfait Diem is a cute little parfait shop where everything is made in house, YUM! To add to this, the people behind this shop were even better than their food and so very welcoming! I will definitely be back!

I took this picture to show how pretty the walkways of the neighborhood are! So many trees, little rocky streams, string lights hanging, and bridges! Not to mention happy little squirrels running around! I love how the Sugarhouse Commons is built around people walking/biking rather than driving. This is so good for the environment and also good for us as people. Not only does it promote more exercise but being outside can increase our mental health as well. It is the funnest place to stroll around and check out all of the businesses. I can’t wait to see how they decorate the area for the winter!
