German is so fun to learn, instead of sitting down, we play games. All the cognate words makes the language easier. The class also offers many field trip opportunities. Plus teachers make the class worth taking.

I think German is a great class to take because it helps you communicate with others and to be able to travel more comfortably. The German teachers are also great, we watch movies, they sometimes even bring food, and overall are great people.

German is different than other languages. It’s fun and a great way to meet new friends. Learning about the culture and its food is one of my favorite parts of German. Their field trips are always enjoyable. German, for me, has been a great and comfortable experience.

Hallo, I am a Junior this year in German. Reasons you should take German class: Reason #1 fun and energetic class never boring and always entertaining. Reason #2 always play games like Kahoot and Quizlet live. Reason #3 teachers are always helpful. Last reason English and German have a lot of similarities.

I decided to take German to continue what I was learning for years. I had German in my elementary school and partially for middle school, even then German seemed fun. It was also because I’m partly German. Overall it is a relatively easy language and very fun.

I've taken German for 3 years now and it's been nothing but fun and very entertaining. German is relatively similar to English in many ways so learning it is fairly easy and manageable. The class is filled with fun activities like games, stories, field trips and so much more, which makes it way more memorable than most other classes and helps further learn and remember the language, very easy and exciting!

Hallo, I am George and I've been taking German since freshman year. We play a lot of games like Kahoot, Quizlet, Gimkit, as well as many other games in class. We take many field trips to places like the Christkindlemarkt, and there is even a German Exchange program. We eat a lot of food throughout the semester and have many class parties. The class itself is pretty easy and fun to learn. German is very similar to English so it's not a ton of new stuff to learn. The teachers are also very nice. I would definitely recommend joining German!

Hallo!

I am a junior at Niles North high school. I want to encourage incoming freshman to consider taking German class! I know you are taking Spanish right now and might think that Spanish is the easiest way to continue a language class, but German in my opinion is easier to learn. English is in fact a mix of German and French, Primarily German so MANY things are similar to English with cognates like Haus/house, Mutter/mother, Finger/finger, and Wasser/water, plus identical modern loanwords like Computer, Taxi, Baby, and Hotel. I also know that if you had Mrs. Conejo Spanish class was a lot of fun, but German class at NN is also lots of fun we don't sing very much but we play LOTS of games, eat LOTS of food like big pretzels, ice cream, pasta, and more, we also have lots of parties including the Octoberfest party every year. We also go on lots of fun field trips like the Christkindl market. Tell your friends about German to help support our small community.
