I just received the locket I won for coming first in an all USA championship of this game. It's a digital game I play on my laptop. It’s called nerve. We have three tasks to finish. 2 in teams and we have to finish the last task alone. I always win. My best friend, Kat, and I always play together. 50 real players compete on the phone with their bots. Kat was sitting next to me. I asked her what was going on but she was aghast. After a while, she told me that we were inside the game, nerve. When I stood up I saw that people were wearing the uniform that the bots generally wear in the game. I skipped a heartbeat. It was the most unreal place I had ever seen. There were people dressed in black all around us. Kat told me that they don’t play but they force everyone else to. The first thing that came to my mind was how to escape. Kat told me that there was no way to escape except to win.
Suddenly a loud siren rung and some people in black clothes chased us to the starting line of the first task. I already was alarmed and gazed. 
But just then kat said, “this is the reality, Meg. please win this. For me. Or else….”, she started crying. 
I continuously asked her or else what!?
Kat, “or else we’ll die.”
I was panicked and broken from inside but then I saw her face. Just at that point I was determined that whatever happened kat and I needed to win. I was wishing so hard that maybe all this was a dream but it wasn’t. 
The first task was to cross a set of obstacles By a car and at the end there was a finish line. I had a blue car , everybody had different colours. Six people didn’t make it. I was dismayed when the men in black killed the six of them with guns!. We were divided in groups of five and twenty people were alive. We were provided by all kinds of paints and paint brushes.After about 30 minutes a loud horn rung and the task was over. Only the two of us When I reached the last tile , I heard Kats voice she said, “go ahead, you deserve it.” I said, “just remember that I love you Kat and you will always, always be my bestfriend. We needed to complete this task alone. It was the most dreadful feeling when I got to know that only one person could win. The face of my Parents was in front of me but also the face of Kat's mother was there. Kat did not have a father and if Kat died her mother would be there alone in the world. I cared about Kat more than anyone else, but I did not know what to do.There were pairs of blocks in water floating till the finish line.One of the tiles was made of cardboard and the other was made of wood. We needed to guess , if we stepped on the cardboard we would fall and get eliminated.
