He is a round character because he has a broad personality and has many traits. He also is a Dynamic character because his personality changes from self-centered and shy to brave and non-self-centered. An example of this is in the beginning he always got beat up, but eventually he got the courage to stab Bob and save the kids from the burning church.

I took a deep breath, and started coughing.”The reason that makes him brave is because he went in the church to save the kids is because they didn’t have to save them but he did so it makes him courageous and brave. Another example of courage is on page #49 when he kills Bob to save Ponyboy,"I killed him," he said slowly. "I killed that boy." This is brave because they were outnumbered and he killed Bob so they could survive.
