The gas and the dust was disturbed by an explosion by a star named the 'SuperNova'. The explosion made lots of waves in space which squeezed the cloud of gas and dust. It made the cloud start to collapse and gravity pulled the gas and dust together making a 'Solar Nebula'. The cloud grew hotter and dense and a disk of gas and dust surrounded it. As the disk got thinner, particles stuck together and made bumps. The bumps got bigger and created many planets.
