I couldn't go to orientation because I was on a family vacation. So, I didn't know who my link crew leader was to help with getting around this school. Therefore, I got nervous about getting lost and walking down the halls with my anxiety. On the first day of school, I told myself that everything will be okay but, my thoughts kept being pessimistic. I kept thinking to myself that the upperclassmen would judge me for whatever I did, which gave me more anxiety about myself when I was walking down the halls. However, the link crew members helped me out with classes so, I wouldn't get lost and they were very nice.

I barely had any friends in my classes and I seemed like a loner in every class. In addition, I had to make new friends, but people say that friends in middle school don't always stay together. So, I had anticipated that I wouldn't have friends and that made me feel worse. But I can have new friends and it can be for the better. After all, it wasn't that bad when I talked to the new friends I made. During every passing period, I kept getting anxiety and didn't know where I was going. The worst part was I can barely remember the alphabet to get around school, but soon I found out how it worked and it got so much better.

I got to see my friends again and we could just hangout. Lunch was my favorite part of the day. There were so many food carts that I didn't know which one to go to and where my friends were. And that made me seem lost, but we called each other and now the gym area is out meeting area everyday now. My last class was color guard and I have friends in that class so it made my day. There were so many people where I was claustrophobic. It was so fun because we basically chill and talked about our day. In conclusion, I would say that my first day of school wasn't that bad however there were many ups and down. During science and Vietnamese class, I had no friends, but it's over now. Now I can say that it will get better each day. I am also ready to take on this challenge of what high school have given me and how my future will turn out.
