I think what this means is, God was born in order to save all people from Original Sin. This is significant, because God was brought into this world to set a example for future humans to follow and live more freely through him and in the same ways he lived. God is both human and divine, and he remains in connection with us.

This means that although we may not be able to see God he is always with us and we should be aware of him. We can tell the people who listen to and follow him separate from the ones who don't. Although the church has fallen we still believe and God and trust in him. Through his grace our salvation can be met.

We believe God's grace is very essential to our life. We are deprived because we know God can take things away from us, deprive us, but we are not depraved because he does not always put evil on us. He can be mean at times do to the sins we are committing. If we continuously make these sins then he might deprive us of something, but he will never be purposely evil.

Three examples of Catholicism are the ring, the Hobbits, and Frodo. The ring represents a commitment, like it would be marriage. The ring in this case, is seen as a strong and pretty thing to wear, but it can also bring about problems and issues. The Hobbits represent those that live a solid life, like ones who are committed to God. They represent kindness and they are living the life God has called people to live. Frodo is called to risk his own life in order to save others, like that of which Jesus was called to do the same thing. He risked himself in order to put others first.

Elvish artifacts are good examples of how sacramentals function because they are seen as visible in the invisible, just like sacraments and sacramentals. They're made up of elements on the earths, but they have a greater meaning to them then what they are seen as. There seems to be faith in these artifacts but it is nowhere to be seen by the visible source, like sacraments. The spirituality in these artifacts are visible because of how great of a meaning they hold.

This is different from the Eucharist because Eucharist is derived from ordinary bread and it is distributed through the priest after it is changed into the Body of Christ. This is different from the Lembas Bread because it was given to Frodo and Sam by the elves, in which it had not been consecrated and they are not worshipers receiving the Body of their savior. It is also a singular occurrence which is different from the Eucharist. This is still similar to a sacramental because it has power in it and it makes you feel virtues in which it has qualities that it gives to the people. It is a visible sign of an invisible reality.

It is loud and clear and it is only to be blown when there is need. The horns signal the turning from pain into hope. It is a feeling of victory. This can be seen as a sacramental effect because it is like they have a spiritual feeling in them and they feed off hope. It is like sin being wiped away from you like the horn signifies despair being taken away.

I like the way that you laid out the 2nd set of the LOTR responses. The textual part of your responses is good, but too dense for the single posts. Spread your ideas out across several posts in order to make it easier for the viewer/reader to follow!

I REALLY like all aspects of this part of the assignment. The use of the Padlet tools - especially the colors with the "dark" setting - makes a visually engrossing presentation which is both interesting and attractive!
