Notebook presented at webinar on 23 March 2021. This notebook demonstrates the possibility to use two independent data sets. One is loaded from the ICOS Carbon Portal, ocean domain and contains data from a boat traveling from Europe to Brazil. The second data set contains similar data, collected from another boat travelling from Europe to South America, available at PANGAEA. This a notebook for characterizing atmospheric stations based on their influence area computed with the atmospheric transport model STILT. The characterization is visualized by combining the average STILT-based footprint with an anthropogenic emissions database, a biogenic flux model, population density and other ancillary data layers.

Notebook presented at webinar on 19 May 2021. This is a notebook for visualization of radiocarbon (14C) measurements at ICOS atmosphere stations and demonstration of how the 14C/C ratio in atmospheric CO2 can be used as a tracer to estimate the fossil component of CO2. The contaminating influence of 14C emissions from nuclear facilities on the 14C/C signal is estimated by combining STILT footprints with information from a European emission database.
