I thought this might encourage them to come back to see something a little different each time. I also had a 'marketing quote of the week' in my forums and I had some really positive feedback in relation to these. Students said that they felt motivated to get stuck into marketing after seeing how much influence it can have. **Thanks Leonie, yes I think sometimes students forget how many extra  resources are on the DB waiting for them.

**Crystal for sharing some wonderful ideas.  Asking those thought provoking questions really hooks in some students and can be really effective in engaging students who may have a tendency to drop off the discussion. 

**Leonie for sharing her disappointment with poor view rates and week 7 wins.  We all know that this eLA lark is not all sunshine and rainbows and sometimes we put in the hard work and get no response.  But, as Leonie so brilliantly reminds us, there is always a silver lining and that's what spurs us to keep going. 

**Simon W for sharing that contacting teams has been a good way to re-engage all of his students or at least identify those that were struggling.  Now a new course of action can be taken.

I emailed all my HD recipients from A2 on Monday of Week 7 to congratulate them.  I sent individual emails, adding in something specific to each student, encouraging them to keep posting (as it motivates others), start posting (because they clerqly have so much to offer the group) or resume posting (eg because we're all missing your jokes/humour/input).  I got quite a good strike rate from that.  Not 100%, but I'd guess 60%?
And I've gone overboard this week with the #whoopwhoops and #Awesomes and GIFs of happy dances for some great content, in the hope of spurring them on some more....

I did a (hopefully!) inspiring HNY Powtoon (below), and emailed it to everyone, embedded in the email (all they had to do was click to view) but only managed about 30% view rate.  Maybe it was because the students who were on break weren't interested in the HNY message by the time Jan 2 rolled around?  
But! (There's always a silver lining!)
