I think poetry is a form of writing that people use to express their feelings. I think that poetry can be anything short, long, shaped, funny, sad or happy. I think that poetry can be in any different type or form, there are many different types of poetry. E.g Limerick, haiku, free verse, acrostic, alliteration.

I think poetry is a type of text that can express your feelings. Poetry can also have different structures. There can be different types of poetry like:

Lyrical, tongue twisters,, kenning poems, acrostic and lastely alliteration. A poem can be about anything but doesnt have to rhyme. A poem can tell a story or even a funny joke. I think poems are a lovely type of text that can express feeling and is also a fun way to read.

I think poetry is a form of literature that focuses on self expression and emotions. Most common topics in poetry are people, places or events. Poetry doesn't have strict guidelines as it is not necessary for it to rhyme, contain alliteration or other writing techniques. I like that poems don't have a very detailed structure and don't require an orientation, conclusion etc. One quality I think good poems should have is a strong sense of imagery as it is a good way to connect with the reader and relate the poems to themselves. Poetry also creates emotions in the reader as everyone can interpret it a different way and encourage memories of the past, discussions or much more. I like that in poetry there isn't really a right or wrong; it's about creativity and your opinion of the text.

To me poetry is a way of expressing emotions or ideas. It isn't always straight forward and clear, but sometimes is clear. Poetry is very limitless and can be about anything as random, weird, deep, happy or sad your idea is. The poet tries to create a picture in the reader's mind. Poems use metaphors and similes to let the reader have a clearer picture. Some poems have particular rules and structures, but there is also free verse which doesn't have any rules or structure. Poems can rhyme but don't have to, and can have a particular rhythm to it especially if it is a limerick.

I thing poetry is a way to express your feeling about something. Poetry has many different forms such as Limmerick, freeverse, lyrical etc. Some poetry doesnt even have to rhyme or have a set structure you can just write and say what you want to say. It can show many emotions like sad or happy... It can also form a certain shape.
