This article really interested me because plastic is a huge part of the environment becoming so harmed. Plastic can be burned and it releases terrible toxins into the air. With the abolishment of single use plastics we will be able to keep some of those toxins out of the air. Without those toxins in the air we will have cleaner air to breath and less diseases related to the toxins involved in the burning of plastics. Also without the burning of this plastic the sky will become clearer and India will become brighter and better looking and attract more people to the area. Will more people coming to that area they will be able to get more money and continue to develop and try to become a developed nation. India along with China has some of the deadliest air pollution in the entire world and without the burning of single use plastics they will be able to lower that and become a safer area. China has begun a clean air action plan causing their pollution to go down while India is still on the rise. What I found so interesting about this article is that the one journalist said that he had never seen air pollution as the cause of death on their death certificate. I found this interesting because it is not very common for that to be the reason of death and it is never seen in the United States of America. A study done at Louisiana State University has found that thirteen measures could reduce the amount of air pollution levels by up to forty percent. By implementing these measure they could avoid nine hundred thousand premature deaths caused by air pollution in India every year. Also by implementing these measures it could also lead to a fifty to sixty percent reduction of winter time PM2.5 levels across North India. People believe that India has not done anything for their air pollution problem yet because it does not destroy buildings instantly like a disaster like a hurricane or earthquake. Air pollution slowly sneaks into your body silently and takes a long time to kill you. India will soon have a plan to combat air pollution but it may take a long time to implement that plan and have people follow the plan and the laws to lower the air pollution in India and help the country combat its biggest problem that causes so many deaths. It has only been recently that India has come up with precautionary plans for air pollution rather than reactionary plans. With only putting in precautionary plans things will only continue to get worse in India.
