Tenzino and Hillary are known to have achieved the first succesful climb to the top in 1953.

Diana May is known to be the first woman to break the record of flying a balloon solo around the world.  She faced unfavorable weather conditions: her balloon was blown off twice and she was almost forced to crash by a storm. However, everything went well because her balloon was equipped with the latest technology and she was helped by a team of experts during all the flight. It is expected that Diana will flight fly again and try to break another record next year.

They have been protected by the goverment for many years.
Conservation groups are said to be opposing their plans but they will try to do build it, no matter what.
