What is the point of education? Is it mastery or is it grades? Giving students choice in demonstrating mastery. 

Giving students choice is equity. To build equity we must be willing to give up control and giving the power to our students.

Performance based assessment using standards and support documents--->behavior management plan. If you embed what is important to them into your instructional strategies, it becomes your behavior management plan.
