**Three Mile Island accident - occuered on March 28, 1979. It was the worst accident in U.S. commercial nuclear power plant history. As a result of this accident, 40 planned nuclear plants were canceled and until 2012 no nuclear power plant had been authorized. Also, because of this accident, more cautions arose and the Federal requirements became more stringent.

**Chernobyl - This accident occured in 1986. It was the result of a flawed reactor design that had been operated by inadequate personnel training. The explosion and fire resulted in at least 5% of radioactive reactor core into the atmosphere. There were 28 people who died from the poisioning. Some 200 tonnes of highly radioactive material remains deep within it, and this poses an environmental hazard until it is better contained. There is a new Safe Confinement structure that should be built by 2016 so it will not be such a nuclear hazard.

**Fukushima - It was followed by an earthquake and happened on March 11, 2011. It was rated a 7 on the INES scale. There is over 100,000 people that were evacuated from their homes to ensure their safety. There has been over 17,000 government-financed temporary housing units for some 29,500 evacuees from the accident. The staff was having to manage contaminated water and keep the people away from the area. There is still reports going on from this accident.

The numbers in the video are crazy and I have no doubt in my mind about them. We as the United States were ready for war and needed what we had to accomplish that.

The United States, Russia, France and China. As well as the United Kingdom, India, and North Korea all have nuclear power weapons. With all of these places having access to nuclear weapons, I would think it is somewhat frightening because anyone can just get angry and decide to use one of those weapons against someone else and destroy anything that was in its way.

Nuclear Power can be used in many different forms and that can be a good and bad thing depending on how it is used. Nuclear weaponry should be used very delightedly and careful whenever in use or in the hands of someone. This world does not need anymore accidents going on but saying that, there will probably be one. Every time nuclear is put in a sentence, I am sure someone gets nervous because it sure makes me that way.
