         <description><![CDATA[<div>- People with schizophrenia may giggle in the face of disaster. <br>- People with schizophrenia tend to not have brain activity when shown happy pictures, whereas someone without schizophrenia would show brain activity when shown happy pictures. <br>-People without schizophrenia show emotions, and their brain tends to 'light up' when they are happy, but people with schizophrenia do not show these reactions and do not show their emotions. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-Positive symptoms- hallucinations, delusions, bizarre behavior, and thought disorders. These symptoms are behavioral excesses that are classified as positive symptoms. Positive symptoms may fade after acute episodes. <br>-Negative Symptoms- Extreme withdrawal or social isolation, apathy, and lack of facial expression  of emotions are behavioral deficits that are classified as negative symptoms of schizophrenia. Negative symptoms are typically more enduring, and makes it difficult for the person to continue an everyday life. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>- Auditory hallucinations are when you hear voices and these are most common in schizophrenia patients. <br>-Visual hallucinations are when you see things that don't have a physical stimulus and these are much less common in a schizophrenia patient. <br>- Thought disorder is another symptom of schizophrenia, this is when the person has a breakdown in the logical structure of thinking and speech characterized by loose associations between expressed ideas. <br>- Speech can become completely incoherent or incomprehensible.<br>- A person with schizophrenia may also not be able to express ideas, they will present in a jumbled way and the person listening may not be able to follow their train of thought. <br>-People with schizophrenia may not be able to tell you the time, date, year, who they are, or where they are. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>- Researchers have found that genetics can play a part in developing schizophrenia, also biological factors like abnormalities in the brain, and psycho social influences. <br>-With the help of anti-psychotics schizophrenia patient where able to leave the confinement of state hospitals and return home to their families and communities. <br>-Clozapine is a newer generation of anti-psychotics, this drug is least effective in controlling symptoms of schizophrenia but it has fewer neurological side-effects. <br>- Some side-effects of these drugs are weight gain and metabolic disorders associated with increased risk of sudden death form heart disease and stroke.  </div>]]></description>
