This would be a collaboration amongst many professionals who are experts in different areas. 

It is vital to have a dynamic group developing the curriculum for students.

It is a guide to the development of students. This is a progressive, purposeful, and well thought out process that enable students to grow developmentally.

The curriculum should be current and up-to-date. Each year there should be a team meeting to discuss changes that need to be made to make sure it is effective and relevant.

With that said, it should be flexible and able to adjust to students specific needs. The school counselor focuses on where students are developmentally and helps to process emotions, feelings, behaviors, bullying, etc. 

The school counselor acts as added support for students and staff.
