When you have chosen your container, eg. hanging basket, raised beds or flower/window boxes - you can begin this step by step process

1. Use good-quality compost

2. select a mixture of height, trailing, and foliage plants like violas, cyclamen, and winter-flowering heather.

3. Place taller plants in the center, trailing plants at the edges

4. Fill with compost, packing plants densely since they won't grow much in winter.

5. Ensure good drainage, keep the soil moist, and place the basket in a sheltered location to protect it from harsh weather
