This is Tungsten's electron configuration. It has, of course, 74 electrons. Being a Transition Metal, it has a very different electron configuration to main elements. It also has 74 protons and 110 neutrons.

At room temperature, Tungsten is a solid. It has the highest melting point out of all metals, melting at 3422°C (3695°K) and boils at 5555°C (5828°K). It has a density of 19.25g/cm3. It usually takes on a dark grey colour and can range in colour from black to white when polished. Abundant isotopes of Tungsten are pretty much STABLE, meaning they can't decay or they take so long to decay.

Due to being a transition metal, Tungsten doesn't tend to react much...

Tungsten does not react with air or water at room temperature. However, when exposed to air at a really high temperature, it will form trioxide tungsten, or WO3. When finely divided, it's a pyrophoric.

Tungsten reacts to some halogens, though. It reacts to Fluorine and it also reacts to Chlorine and Bromine at 250°C

In 1779, Peter Woulfe discovered the existence of Tungsten as a new element. He was analysing the mineral wolframite at the time. Tungsten was derived from the Swedish words "tung" and "sten," meaning "heavy stone."

Tungsten is mainly found as an ore, which has been mined in China, Russia, Portugal, Austria and Bolivia. It is more abundant in China.

Tungsten is used quite a lot, and despite being beneficial to the health of plants and animals, Tungsten significantly acidifies soil, which can lead to biomass reduction and death. Other impacts of Tungsten use are unknown. However, if we use it all up, life will be badly affected.
