Last week ,I came into college to enrol onto the travel course , I had to sit with my course leaders Kirsty and jess to tell them why I wanted to be on this course and to give them my GCSE results, I listened to what they told me about this course and made sure it was the right option for my future , I could have improved asking more questions of what I would be doing on the course .

Yesterday i was at work at new look and a customer asked me to help them find a dress , i asked the lady what the dress looked like and what size she was wanting , me and the woman then went around the shop and found the dress she was looking for. The woman was pleased that we managed to find the dress as she needed it for a wedding .Something i could have improved is i should have already known where the dress was to make the process quicker.

Last week at college we had to use communication to ask a group bound a chair out of balloons and we had to come up with ideas as a group to make the chair strong enough , after this we collided with another group to expand our ideas meaning we had a stronger idea between us , we did this well as our chair was strong and came third . Things what we could have improved is coming up with more ideas to make the chair more sturdy.

Last week i used teamwork skills to create a script for a pre flight briefing. This helped my skills because i had to communicate to be able to give my opinion on what people should say in the briefing. Something that went well from this is that we was sharing ideas to enable we had the best script to get the best grade. However something that could have gone better is if we was more organised and had memorised the script more.

Last week i also used team work in tutorial when saffron made find pieces of paper with British values . We had to find a note and find evidence about it online. This went well because we all communicated and shared ideas with information about our value which as rule of law. To improve this we could have googled it more and found out further information about the rule of law .

In work last week I used teamwork when the display at the front of the shop needed changing, we had to change the outfits on the mannequins and put up Christmas decorations with Sophie and ann. This was a positive because it meant the shop was ready for Christmas and would draw in more customers if it looked festive .This could have gone better if we had a better understanding of what we was doing because the instruction wasn't clear.

i seem to be very motivated when it comes to attending college 3 days a week studying travel and tourism to become cabin crew and then going to work on the days that i'm not at college. This requires a lot of motivation as it becomes very tiring as sometimes i work all the days meaning i do not have any days to see my friends and family.

Another way i am motivated is by making sure that i hand all my assignments in on time and make sure i double check them all through to make sure that i have included everything that needs to be in it. this needs motivation because after work and college i have to then motivate myself again to go home and continue working for hours on my assignments which takes a lot resilience as it becomes very tiring and i get very distracted.

my final source of motivation is to pass this course and succeed into my future job which is to become a long haul cabin crew for either Virgin Atlantic or British Airways as this job has always interested me throughout my life so this is my motivation as this is the only job i am interested in doing

I currently work at new look as a sales assistant supporting customers , what goes well is that i am very polite to customers and willing to assist them finding an item of clothing , ordering clothes online for them to collect at a later date etc. i also have the responsibility of making sure the shop is kept clean and tidy to make sure it is always looks professional when customers are looking around , this includes putting clothes back from the changing room that people have tried on , picking clothes up off the floor or what customers have misplaced. what i could do better is keeping myself busy as i often find myself walking around looking for things to do.

another source of work experience i have done is a charity workshop for Barnsley hospice with college to raise money for the hospice , we did this by running a bake sale , throwing cream at one of our teachers , a raffle etc , it was a very enjoyable experience and we managed to raise a lot of money

another source of work experience i have is working at my grandads scaffolding company supporting them by answering the phone when customers were ringing for quotes on scaffolding etc, this was a very easy job as it was all over the phone
