An effective lesson for me to teach students using all the styles of learning is when I begin to teach clothing vocabulary. I have articles of clothes from my own kids when they were little and I use the clothing to present the Greek or French word: I hold up pants and I say panteloni or le pantalon. I say as well "The pants are black and the material is soft" and I let the kids have a moment to touch the pants as well. With the word "blue jeans" I say "these are jeans and the material is stiff" and etc. The kids really like this activity and then to practice the new words we play "Laundry day game".

I use many different techniques in my class to keep the attention of all students who might have different learning styles. I use a lot of videos, online games and we do various activities in the class too. For example, I ask them what color is my t-shirt, my shoes etc. Another activity I had done is to put pages with the day of the week on the floor, and when I say Monday for example, they need to jump on the 'Monday' page.

One lesson plan that I have used in class is Simon says (changed to 'Ms. Theophany' says) in Greek. This lesson involves listening, and movement, i.e students touching their nose or shaking their hands (touch, feel). But now I will include a part 2, where I will do an action, and I will ask the students to verbalize what I am doing (say). I will also include a part 3, where they can draw and write a word like 'hand' on paper for the visual learners (see).

When it comes to teaching grammar, I create short "songs" that I encourage the students to repeat after me, so that they memorize the rule (helpful particularly for the auditory learners). Regarding spelling, I find it helpful to encourage the students identify and correct their own mistakes. Thus, instead of marking the spelling test myself, I write the words on the board correctly, and I tell the students to identify their spelling mistakes (particularly suitable for visual learners) At the end, I reward everyone's effort with stickers.

An effective lesson that I remember I created was "What is my classmate wearing?" in which each student was asked what the classmate that sits next to them is wearing. During this lesson, materials, colours and type of clothing were taught and then each student was asked "what is your classmate wearing?" and each student answered successfully (e.g. Maria is wearing a pink short sleeve fleece shirt with blue jeans and Nike running shoes).

An effective method I introduced last time, was the combination of audio and image with video of Greek cartoon based on Greek mythology. It was introduced as a reward after finishing our grammar lesson and it included snacks as well! I noticed that the sound of the Greek language with the combination of image helped the students understand the content better without being overwhelming. Something that I am planning to include in my lesson plan is small plays and maybe some costumes!

A lesson plan that I have used in my class is learning the of the vocabulary of activities they actually doing in the class. Every moment is time to teach, like in real life. Examples, (junior kindergartens) when they come and they have to take of their jacket or boots, it is a moment that they can learn vocabulary about clothes. They use their hands and they feel the subjects, sometimes they need the help of an adult, so they can practice expressions for asking help. They touch their clothes, they feel the support or they are happy when they can manage on their own, they have to use their words and to do it. The same during snack or lunch time.

As I teach little kids (4-6yo) that need to move during the class, I have started doing a workout program usually half way through the lesson. From a pdf I found online, the kids take turns throwing a die, which corresponds to a certain exercise (jumping jacks, making circles with arms etc). The kids pick one of four big, foamy, coloured dice (identifying colours), count the dots that come up (numbers), find the corresponding exercise (identifying body parts and movements), and perform it (counting to ten, as they usually involve 10 repetitions). They love it!

At the end of the classroom time (free time) with can play with playdoh that includes touch, feel, see and say. Even if you have the time you can make homemade playdoh, that the children have to create something from the vocabulary words and show and tell speaking and storytelling in Greek.
