“The path of project” This quote intensified my belief that imperialism is wrong because of what is said about races and other people's futures. In the quote it talks about how some races are inferior to others and that it is okay to kill them as a stepping stone to a better future. It's one thing to murder someone which is bad, but to murder someone because you think that you were born better than them is outrageous. This mindset disregards the value and equal dignity of every human being, promoting a distorted vision of a future built on violence and racism. Following and teaching such ideologies is not only dangerous but also creates new followers.

Those that were conquered, had to leave everything behind and surrender. Not only their land, but also their religion. They had to follow new religions, ones they weren't used to, and that were new to them. This shows how imperialism changed these people's lives, forcefully. They didn't ask for this change, but were forced to it, immediately. The imperialist's greed to take over other peoples land, blinded them from seeing any negative doings that were left upon these people. This quote intensified my belief on imperialism because it mainly showed how selfish and unmoral the imperialists were. When the author says "now we have the bible and they have the land" it shows me that in a way, these Africans had been tricked by the whites. They had probably thought that these white men were going to teach them new things since these white men were not from around the place where these Africans lived. But these white men just wanted the land these people stayed for their own benefit. These white men might have also used religion as a cover up for their true intentions.
