let me tell you a story is a book written by a psychatrist from South America. In every chapter he tells a story to his patient Demien to help him understand his own problems and how to overcome them. Warriors is a fantasy book series with seven seasons and a lot of special and short adventures. This book series is my life. It isn't a childish book, not at all. War and fight, secret love and hate among the five (or six) Clans, religion, ancestors, destiny. Warriors brings it all together in a very special way. Trough the story of a young cat, Sammy, leaving his humans to find a new life in ThunderClan and his ancestors and their ancestors.

When the young son of Helga gets kidnapped a new case begins for commissar Henry Conroy. Together with his new colleague he has to solve the disappearance of the young, leading them to an illegal dog breeding facility at the border of Czechia operated by two highly suspicious men.

The book delivers a certain thrill, but is still very appropriate for people who can not stand the horror genre that much. It has some of the stereotypes often presented in thrillers, for example characters running into an abandoned house without thinking of the possible dangers awaiting them, but it also offers meat grinders and the perspective of the culprit, which makes you feel conflicted on how you wish for the ending to go. As already mentioned I enjoyed the presence of a few tropes and the meat grinder.

It's about the life of an orphan named Elizabeth Harmon, only called Harmon or Beth. She grows up in Methuen Orphanage since her mother passed away in a car accident and there she discovers her talent for chess but also her addiction for tranquilizers which are handed to the kids to keep them in check. Only a few lessons with the janitor, Mr. Shaibel, were enough for her to beat him and many others. When she is adopted by Mrs. Wheatley, she first struggles to show her true talent but later on manages to win tournament after tournament. She is called a prodigy later on, defeating enemies with precise but destroying moves in such a young age. This book shows the struggles and addictions of mere humans. What alcohol and drugs can do to us and how Beth Harmon shows the world of chess, that the queen is the strongest character on the board.
-----------
I first watched the miniseries on Netflix (I recommend it 10/10) and instantly fell in love with it. Beth Harmon is a strong woman and really doesn't let anyone put her down, especially not men. Even after a a defeat she stands up and tries another time until she wins. I, personally, think it's also interesting to see/ read how alcohol and drugs can destroy us and she struggles to let go of her addiction. I really liked the series and the book so I really recommend it. (if you watch, watch it in english!!)

Review:

The book “Elanus” was written by Ursula Poznanski from Austria. In this book the main character Jona starts studying computer science with only 17 years at a university in Rothenheim. He is a very clever person but he is also very talented at making himself unpopular. But he has got one big weapon the others don´t have. It is a little and silent drone with a very good camera and with this drone he is able to follow a person everywhere if he has got the telephone number of this person. But while using his drone he finds out something that would have been better left undiscovered and suddenly he is in mortal danger…

Evaluation:

First it is hard to like Jona, the main character, because it is very difficult for him to deal with humans and he always knows everything better and he always shows this off. But Jona is more and more becoming a nicer person and the tension increases and increases. There is no passage in the book that is boring because it always is exciting, thrilling or funny. Another very good thing is that when starting to read the book and also when I already had read half of it I had no real idea how the book would end and the ideas I had all were completely wrong. The book is not like other books because it has got a very special story with special characters and that's because I like it so much.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is a fantasy novel written by British author J. K. Rowling. The first novel in the Harry Potter series and Rowling's debut novel, it follows Harry Potter, a young wizard who discovers his magical heritage on his eleventh birthday, when he receives a letter of acceptance to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry makes close friends and a few enemies during his first year at the school, and with the help of his friends, he faces an attempted comeback by the dark wizard Lord Voldemort, who killed Harry's parents, but failed to kill Harry when he was just 15 months old.The book was first published in the United Kingdom on 26 June 1997 by Bloomsbury. It was published in the United States the following year by Scholastic Corporation under the title Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. It won most of the British book awards that were judged by children and other awards in the US. The book reached the top of the New York Times list of best-selling fiction in August 1999 and stayed near the top of that list for much of 1999 and 2000. It has been translated into at least 73 other languages, and has been made into a feature-length film of the same name, as have all six of its sequels. The novel has sold in excess of 120 million copies.[2][3]Most reviews were very favourable, commenting on Rowling's imagination, humour, simple, direct style and clever plot construction, although a few complained that the final chapters seemed rushed. The writing has been compared to that of Jane Austen, one of Rowling's favourite authors; Roald Dahl, whose works dominated children's stories before the appearance of Harry Potter; and the Ancient Greek story-teller Homer. While some commentators thought the book looked backwards to Victorian and Edwardian boarding school stories, others thought it placed the genre firmly in the modern world by featuring contemporary ethical and social issues, as well as overcoming obstacles like bullies.

I decided to pick up a book about Harry Potter, because I am fascinated by all the volumes. I know that everyone knows Harry Potter and that´s why it´s all the more exciting for me to see what ratings I´ll get .

When Nika wakes up in her student apartment in Siena, she realizes that she lacks the memory of two full days. Her roommate Jennifer has disappeared and at first Nika thinks it's a bad joke that the apartment door is locked and she has neither keys nor cell phone. In the bathroom she discovers a mysterious “Last Chance” inscription on the mirror. When she then finds a note, obviously scribbled by herself, with incomprehensible instructions and notes, she realizes that she has to find out what happened and that she is in danger. Only the slip of paper with the notes will be able to help her, and a scavenger hunt through Siena begins. But what is the point of this? What happened between Saturday evening and Tuesday morning?-------------------------------------------------------- An exciting thriller in which everything turns out differently than you might think at first. The entire storyline is gripping - I found it very difficult to put the book down. How the many loose threads ultimately come together is very surprising and unpredictable. Except for small weaknesses, a really good book with interesting scenes and well-constructed turns.

Nick is a normal student at a school in London. But suddenly, more and more students start to become weird, and after his best friend Colin also starts to act strange, Nick starts to search for the reason. After some time he finds out why: several people receive small packets, the content is unknown. Some days later, Nick also gets this packet: it contains a DVD with the inscription “Erebos”. Nick turns on his PC and experiences that Erebos is a video game. But it isn't a normal game: The game knows everything about Nick: where he lives, who his friends are and every other detail. To get ahead in the game, Nick has to fulfill assignments in real life. But there’s one thing he doesn’t know: He risks his life and the lives of others if he continues to play the game… I really like the book, because it's always exciting and very well written. There are always some plot twists and you never know what happens next. It also has a second part, Erebos 2. The book is based on the same principle but it acts years later.

The trilogy of the century consists of three novels that deal chronologically with the events of the 20th century. The plot revolves around five families from Wales, England, Germany, the USA and Russia. Follett takes the reader to the most important events of the last century, such as the First World War in the trench, the Russian Revolution, the vote on the Authorisation Act, the attack on Pearl Harbor or the Cuba crisis. This series has captivated me incredibly, partly because you can accompany the families for a whole century. It is precisely the different perspectives of the individual characters that create a unique experience of history.

In my book review I want to talk about the book “Divergent” by Veronica Roth. In her Book Veronica Roth creates a parallel world and a society very different from ours. The Humans are divided in five groups with different values and tasks. People who aren´t able to live in one of this groups, for example because they committed a crime or made something different wrong, are living a unworthy. The main character has to decide between them, a decision which will change her live. But there´s a problem, the test which should give her a base to decide on isn´t clearly. From then on, she is in constant danger.

I enjoyed the book a lot everything, how it is written, this fascinating world, is a strudel which pulls you inside this fascinating world and far away from reality. Also it is very interesting how this humans complex, but forced into these groups act.
