As what the title suggests, it may not seem what it looks like. A likelihood of drastically changing the social principle on educations and the relevant harsh consequences because of it. Different schools in the country have stagnated with the trend of forcing compliant changes to the students' races. This is very likely that it affected the Florida School for Boys in several ways. Indeed, the court case may not have had a bigger impacted. Despite the unexpected results, it did spark a few negativity of social interactions and the continuation of promised education equality.

The Nickel Boys’ Elwood through the Scope of Joseph Campbell’s Hero’s Journey

Wesley Hopkins examined the details of The Nickel Boy to compare similarities with Joseph Campbell's hero journey stance. Campbell coined the term with interesting mythology history, which gave Hopkins an idea on how to approach the novel with well-thought out concepts. The explanation of Elwood's journey through the story was astounding and simple to identify the pattern: he was locked up, imprisoned from the tormented academy; He made several allies and enemies along the way that aspired him to make solutions one way or another. Hopkins thought out his discussion topic was amazing.

A fire broke out at the Dozier school that caused eight boys and two adults to perish from the inferno. The result of this tragedy caused a massive policy and safety change to the reform school. Writer Antoinette T. Jackson summarized and detailed the events that took place before, during, and the aftermath. A provided detail of identifying the bodies was also asserted. Another segment of the article is the segregation topic at the school, and it had a convoluted law preparation. The legislation bickered back and forth on how to advocate the segregated spaces at the school.

In this video, a documentary was made to go in-depth about the horrific stories that had occurred in the reform school. They also interviewed the former resident Charlie Fudge about the man's time he lived there, and the hearing was shocking and despairing. When Fudge spoke about his experience with one beating in a particular incident, he said he was classified as a grub category, which meant he will receive the most painful beating in his life at the White House, which was just a small building only for raw abusing (11:00-:30). There were other former victims that tells similar experiences like Jerry Cooper and Robert Straley. But the school's purpose was not to reform the students. Rather, it was genuinely a proving ground of labor work instead.

The journal contains important details of a law that merely brought out abuse allegations to a certain degree of mistreated trusts. The first speculated incident happened in 1991 at Linden Elementary school. The victim and their mother reported a sexual abuse on a boy during a piano lesson. Furthermore, the law dictates the procedure will not be in vain.
